NTW II Music Pack (Grandee Armee)

Postby Lord Legless Lannes » Sun May 25, 2008 2:52 pm

Hi

I felt like a change of music so I made a music pack but be warned lol it's Grandee Armee orientated so........

Music Included

La Grenadiere

Marche du Sacre - This is my favourite

Le Salut des Aigles

La Victoire est a nous

Aux Champs & Marche des Grenadiers a cheval - Merged into one as they are quite short

Music from Badger's campaign site.

Music from N website - This was from from the Napoleon TV series with Isabella Rosselini and John Malkovich.

La Marseille - Two versions - One Vocal version on the Intro screen and a battle version.

Marche de la Garde a Waterloo

Copy over original files and overwrite in

Rome - Total War\napoleonic\data\sounds\music

If your going to use remember to back up your old music folder, just in case you wish to revert back to the old one. I tested it and it worked fine in the lobby.

:D

Egads that site is -nasty-. Its telling me the file doesn't exist, then its violating their terms of service, then nothing, then, after a code and about as many dating advertisements as I can handle in less then 2 minutes it makes me wait for 60 seconds, then opens a browser popup!

Holy moly!

I've had some hosting success with:

www.boxstr.com

No affiliation to me whatever except that I did a huge search a while back trying to find decent free hosting. They've stopped .exe and .rar uploads for some reason over the last week or so which is a big pain but otherwise they are ad free and allow direct linking.

Cheers, M.

Oh, cool beans. Thanks for the music. I'll have a listen to it in my truck.

I don't like megaupload either, but I do know alot of people prefer it to filefront or rapidshare.

Ah I've never had a problem with megaupload bar the little wait and the party-poker pop up.

Here's a Rapidshare link, now you can deal with them dastardly cats.

If you like I could put a proper music pack together (including the work by Morgan Casey) and what Legless Lannes has done. Uses for different factions.

Britain v France.

The British win, (Naturally) and instead of what is currently being played, how about rule britannia or God Save the Queen.

I do know how to implement them in game, as I am on the LOTR-TW sound team.

To that end, a few testers will be required to make sure everything is tickettyboo

Thank you for making this.
Can't claim to listen to much music while playing due to TS, but this makes for a nice change from the official one, and also fits nicely with my preference for the French (though lately, I've been using Austria a lot, too).

I'm glad you enjoy it, the Austrians are my preferred nation after France also. And it would be cool if you could have faction specific music but it's not possible I think, more's the pity.

Wow bravo Lannes . THey are some of my favourite Napoleonic pieces. If I am not misaken some of the tracks are from the Napoleon production with Christien Clavier and I think there are some from War and Peace at Borodino. Any way good work :D

Glad you guys are enjoying marching to the sounds of Grandee Armee :D

Anyone interested in a General Napoleonic one which contains music for most if not all factions such as

Preobrajensky Lifeguard March

Marche De Radetsky

The British Grenadiers

Hakkaa p??lle

Preussens Gloria

Please add more music you think appropriate and I'll try to find them or send them to me and I'll make a new one

Don't worry the pack will come with sick bags for those of a sensitive disposition.
