Hello,
Excuse my bad english, I'm French (indeed, we should speak French, the language of diplomacy at the time of NTW ...).
I wanted to point out a problem that I encounter in the single player campaign. I was besieged several times, my generals who didn't die in battle in real time are declared dead on the campaign map ...

Salut, Pacwald!
The correct way to put this, if I'm not mistaken, would be: "Pardon my french!"
Yes, only a doctor may do that. But it was most likely due to a natural cause, i.e. a too small unit size.
There already exists a thread were you can post remarks or make suggestions:

Hello Lordz,
Was wondering if someone could help me with a download issue for NTW3 mod? Have been a Darthmod Fan, but upon learning of the Lordz Mod NTW3 seems a lot more appealing to me, so appealing that I have spent a week trying download and re-download this mod to no avail. Keep getting a message saying I need to download 'Binkw32.dll'. Have been to Bink website but it says ask the game designers. Have had no problem with NTW Vanilla as well as Darthmod, and have recently upgraded computer and also running windows 7.
The Ever Patient,
Stoffy.

Hi
I'm new to the forum, but do love playing Napolean and Empire.
However, I'm having some problems installing NTW3 4.0. I've downloaded the two files, but don't know what to do then, ie:
where do I download them to?
what do I do then?
Realise that there might be very obvious answers to these questions.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi, download the 2 files and install first the main pack, then the historical battles pack (HB Pack).
Before launching the mod you have to launch Napoleon: Total War at least once if you also just installed the game. If you already played NTW without the mod, you can skip this step.
When you're on the first menu called "NTW3 Manager" select whatever you would like to play. Multiplayer, Historical Battles, SP or the War in the Americas beta.
Feel free to ask more questions.

Hi
I'm sorry, I'm being a complete dunderhead here, probably something to do with my cold.
I've downloaded both files and have placed both in the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Napoleon Total War\data
How do I install the files? They look like pak files to me.
How do I get to NTW3 Manager?
Again apologies if it's all obvious.
I'm not sure if anyone else is in the same boat, but I'm also reading a series of books by a guy called Simon Scarrow, which are about Napolean and Wellington, which kind of helps in making these Empire TW and Napolean TW games more immersive.

You have to either unzip (unpack) the files or double click on them to install.
It's not necessary to place the files in the directory you mentioned.
When you'll launch the installation process it will configure automatically the right path (if you haven't changed the default location of your ntw folder).
Hope that helped.

Hiya
Many thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.
However, when I've downloaded the two files, they've not come down with an extension. I've tried adding an extension, ie .zip and .rar, but they're not packed files.
Double clicking the files, brings up the Win7 prompt asking me which application I want to use to open the files with, but merely gives the standard MSoft apps.

Re: NTW3 4.0 - Release Notes & Download Links
Still struggling to install NTW4, so have decided to install NTW3 and the upgrade packs as per the previous topic.
Am still enjoying the vanilla version, but having completed most of the campaigns and all of the HBs, a new challenge is required. Still love the game and keep going back to it.
In my opinion, Napolean is the best game released by CA.
