Issues with crashing?

Im having issues with the mod. I open the battle selector, click the one I want to play, and it opens NTW. When I go to mp battles and click Total War Online it crashes, every time. This also happens to my friend too. I have tried 8.9 & 8.7. I would like to play it but I just can't get it to work. (if i do single player i can get the game to open but of course, that gives you the british and austrian army and such.)

Probably need to remove the NTW3 mod (plus any other installed mods), verify the vanilla ntw game and then reload the NTW3 mod

To re-install the NTW3 mod open the NTW3 desktop launcher and select “Restore vanilla” and check that your ntw vanilla game is working properly. Next go to the Napoleon Total War folder and select “unins000.exe” “unins001.exe” etc. to remove the NTW3 mod files.
Go to data folder and manually remove any remaining NTW3 files or folders. It’s also suggested to run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defrag.

Now go to your Steam Library and select “Total War: NAPOLEON” right click “Properties” and select “Local Files” from the popup menu
then “Verify integrity of game files” to check the vanilla game files. Play a few vanilla games to initialize any new files.
