What it cost, and what it should cost, are two very different figures.....it should really cost a lot more than it is being sold for when taking into account what the game contains compared to a TW game, which is still the same as 10 years ago - with fancy graphics.

In fact Des has it the wrong way around, this game two years ago was not worth the same money that it is now because two years ago it was very badly bugged, now it is simply the best Napoleonic game we will see in our life times - is that not worth 35-50 euros ?.

Ahhh, an idea, wait till there is no such thing as a euro, I wonder what it will cost then ?.

In fact most people who still follow the game development for 5 years after 1st release bought higher versions of the game just to support JMM, i am one of them tbh. I paid 138€ for both HWLG(grognard ver) and HWN(GdD ver). I dont regret it really as we all know how much we pay when go to a nice restaurant for a dinner? Also for each napoleonic HPS/ JTS game we still pay 40$ for dl vers. So if you like you buy it no doubt.
But only bad part of the situation is HW still needs patch/es so cant create its mp community after years and still needs patience while all other games have their mp community. Anyway JMM on it we know and after the next patch i am sure it will be playable and some veterans will return to the game.
So best Christmas Discount now would be a properly working game without bugs.

Lets say its the best Napoleonic Game ever.

How come that companies like Slitherine or similar dont see it, and for pocket change help develop the game to the full potencial.

I see that, with a frindly interface, a proper mp Lobby and the ability to hold simpler and more unpretentious games between 8 players to 10 players the game should kickoff.

In a way this could be seen as HW biggest problem, but I don't think that will ever be solved, so.......no point in worrying about that one.

If HW (when finished) is not the best NAP game we will ever see, I sure would like to know what is, or even what could be......I don't think any business is going to spend millions on a game that at best will get a few 1,000 sales......we have to face facts, this is not a good gaming period in the great scheme of things.

This is why I hope so much JMM gets the job done, because I can not see where anything better will ever come from.

I think LGS-Slit game will be hex based looking at their work so far. Most hps/jts gamers will get it i am sure but dont know if tw or hw type gamers will be interested we will see.

Also i think we cant say this napoleonic game is better than that, different tastes, all type games have different customer types with various age groups. Even if cant be compared to WW2 communities this Era has a MP gaming community and they are quite active.
We talked to JMM 1-1.5 years ago … I tried to bring some veteran hps/jts napoleonic gamers to hw gaming with Scotts support and was successful to a degree, HWLG game became one of club's games, even HWN was added even tho it was not playable that time, a quite big community was waiting for the hw game: 1st to decrease its price a little, 2nd to grind the bugs before graphic etc.improvement so pbem gaming would be playable.
That did not happen that time so people halted. Maybe this time that will become real we will see.

I hope your right, but I think your wrong, their games are generally lesser quality.......I doubt they will ever generate anything on the same scale as HW, but I would be very happy to be proved wrong.....the more good game to pick from the better.

I dont have the figures but Iam sure they sell 10 times the games HW sells.

That is so true. It seems Gunner confused what HW should be with what it is. If it were such a great game, it would have spread over the internet a long time ago. It's such a tiny niche that I can't ever see that game taking off beyond the community it currently has.

You may well be right, after 5 years it gets harder to say otherwise !!!.

But, in scope and depth, you have to admit (???) that what else compares to HW ?...or as I have said before, what will ever come close ?......it is one of a kind, perhaps one of a kind most people "don't like" for whatever reason, but for those of us that do, there is NO second choice to be found.
