. What I see on the screens is that the British gave up their flank and hill too easily, came in with the reserves too late (and wrong, instead of forming a shooting line he countercharged while France had the momentum. Simply by forming a nice line and shooting the French advance would have done a...

If one is going to limit the number if arty, it seems you should also limit the number of guard troops.

A blob of troops that NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO DEFEAT?! Does no one carry 12-pounders anymore? Now mind you I'm certain the balance of the game has changed since I last played it a year ago, but back then a blob of troops is something I would love to turn into a blob of severed body parts, court...

I thought it was bad when PVI melee-spammed back in NTW1 Ha, most people (especially N) have turned to PVI tactics. Basically going to one side and then WOO! Mass melee with Guards, Carabiners, Grenadiers ? Cheval. Its like an NTW2 whorehouse. lol It's funny, the excuses people will make for their ...

Sims aren't fun. That's why they as a sub-genre are near dead. Relic however ealized that putting in sim elements can be made fun to play. But fun-to-play trumps realism at all times. Which it delivers. It's a Hollywood take on WW2 (in the Saving private Ryan style). No sim, but a damn fun game. On...

And don't forget flight sims. It stands as one of the longest running genres, and is one of the few that can claim huge followings despite the fact it does not center around warfare (MS Flight Simulator which boasts an impressive online comunity of some 200,000 at least).

I know we should be nice to each other, but anyone who doesn't like the Beatles has instantly lost my respect. That sits just fine with me. I dare say that anyone who bases their respect on a handful of coked-up Liverpool hooligans whining about their love lives can keep their respect to themselves...

Being crowned the best RTS of the year is much like winning the "stupidest man in England" contest. Even if you win, you still suck.

yes you are wrong, a Napoleonic Cuiriass was no protection to a musket ball. They were merely worn for protection in h2h fighting. Tests have been done that show that with the grades of metal availible to medievil armourers and their technology they were not able to produce metal of a quality to st...
