Re: NTW3 7.5 - Public Beta Release

Re: Multiplayer crash.

Even though its an old game, NTW, and certainly NTW3 with all its revised textures, is likely to be straining your PC to its max, unless all your settings are at minimum. This means that any weaknesses in your PC are very likely to show up. Take some heart, in your diagnosis of the problem, that a l...

Re: NTW3 7.2 - Release Notes & Download Links

Hello Mates, I've come back from the dead for a short time due to the lure of v7.2 of the Mod. What a great piece of work, congratulations gentlemen, this is, I feel, the best version ever and plays out beautifully. Thought I'd try to add some value whilst I'm here: I've had enough solo games now to...

Re: Last hopes to get a decent square have gone...shame on C

Very interesting, I was looking at it from the other side, I'm sure they would do a load of work IF they could sell another million updates at 10 quid a shot !. Yes, indeed! As Desaix says above and I'd completely forgotten, DLC would be the way to push this stuff out. 5 or 10€ a shot. But, and its...

Re: Last hopes to get a decent square have gone...shame on C

maybe playable SP with good script, and then I'd have released a DLC pack at 5 € together with some gameplay fix requested by the community. QUite little work for them (just dealing with Steam update and some tests) and with a basic advertising from 30000 to 50000 easy gain. Thats another excellent...

Re: Too easy to frontally charge with infantry

They are for the years that France were at their best or at least superior to the enemies (who also change by year and theatre too). The trouble is, the Napoleonic Wars, especially once Napoleon had formulated his systems, WERE heavily biased in favour of the French- all of Empire Rules is based so...

Re: Too easy to frontally charge with infantry

I completely agree with the comments above. I have observed we have over the years from at least NTW2, probably even before, become extremely fond of very wide formations without any depth. This is not historical at all. Real battles were fought with significant unit depth, 1st, 2nd, third or even m...

Re: Last hopes to get a decent square have gone...shame on C

500.000$ are you crazy Moopere? For a couple of fix? I could buy a whole software house with that price...I'm not ready to pay more than 50$ for a game that crashes a lot and that a little bunch of guys actually play. But this is why they refused to even talk about it. You have to give them incenti...

Re: Too easy to frontally charge with infantry

But the outcry this would cause lead me abandon the idea. Even abandoned ideas can cause outcry! ha! For me at least, its just a note of concern. Even the additional fatigue values apparently added to France makes me scratch my chin and wonder. The battlefield nimbleness of the French early in the ...

Re: Last hopes to get a decent square have gone...shame on C

can you please state a price for having your programmers to add a moddable delay to square and introduce a column formation morale bonus? Hey Desaix, This is a very reasonable and businesslike question you have put to CA. I like your style. In fact, there _would_ be a price for such work but for so...

Re: Too easy to frontally charge with infantry

I have noticed with most sources of the era, that Austria, Russia and even Prussia were alot slower then the french on the battlefield. Is there a way to make all french units move as fast as lights or to slow down the big Russian, Austrian units to the faster armies have a better chance to avoid t...

Re: HistWar - Les Grognards Boutique

I've never fully understood the difference between the versions. The contents of each set are listed on the main LG site, but not the relevance of the different contents. What, for instance, are the game cards for? Do you get any advantage in having them? What about the game manual? With the game se...

Does anyone know about this? Apparently vanilla game has a square fix as of today. What I hear is that a square is not effective til it is fully formed. Is this true? This is amazing great news!!!!! Well, nothing downloaded today.... so I doubt it. There was a mystery 20MB download about 2 weeks ag...
