Re: NTW3 7.6 - Release Notes & Download Links

Thank you so much for 7.6! It runs very well for me (I could not run 7.5)! I am deeply grateful to the Lordz for this huge and magnificent set of work. I wonder if I might comment on the musket sounds? I hear black powder weapons being discharged at my shooting club- have fired them myself, and they...

Re: Heavy Cavalry issues

To Royal_Lifeguard: Sir, Your arguments for lowering the cost of British heavies and dragoons are perfectly good and logical from a real-world historical point of view, but you have overlooked the main point which Lord Ulysses presented in his reply (see above). The pricing of units in NTW III is no...

Re: Heavy Cavalry issues

I didnt say we need the goold old British cavalry back what so ever i stated that the prices need to come down and that the rota needs reorganzing. British dragoons have nothing on french curassiers in terms of combat so why are they so closely evenly matched in terms of price? its obsurd especiall...

Re: Ineffective artillery

I would like to add my small opinion. I've been playing the SP v5.0 campaign to excess in the past several weeks and have found that the artillery seems to be quite effective, from my point of view. I do agree that it is not as dominant as it has been in the past. What unit size that you're using? ...

Re: Blood & Smoke

Zelekendel, I use the old blood&smoke mod from several years ago with NTW III V5 mod and it works fine. I just add the effects file (mod_BSM_Napoleon.pack) into the data directory and add a line to the top of the user script file (user.script.txt) for the single player campaign mode referencing ...

NTWIII on Mac OS?

M'Lords, I have NTW running on steam on my macbook. But I have tasted the heady wine of your sublime NTWIII V.3 mod on my PC, and cannot tolerate the vanilla version of the game. Alas, here I am traveling afar from my native country on business with only my macbook to hand and anxious to try NTWIII ...

What use is for an overpriced unit that can be defeated by another unit 1/10 their cost?

Recommended units sizes for SP

M'Lordz,

What is the recommended unit size option to select when starting an NTWIII 3.7 SP Coalition Campaign, if one wishes to approximate the 6:1 scale supported in the NTWIII MP game?

Lord Davn, May I say, Sir, that after prolonged personal testing, I am very pleased to report that my SP campaigns are running smoothly with few crashes (and those only after playing too long before restarting - vanilla memory leaks), and that this revision (3.7) of the NTWIII SP campaign is by far ...

My Lord Davn, I've anticipated your SP update for over a year now and I must say the wait was very worthwhile! I find the 3.4 version to be a wonderful improvement in so many ways. The pace of battles, the uniforms, the balance of arms between artillery, infantry and cavalry, the development tree en...

Re: Beta-Test Single Player Modus of Napoleon NTW 3 v.3.0

Lord Liberalis has decreed that there will be no more beta testing done on the NTWIII Ver.3.0 SP. A number of us were left disappointed in this. However, I understand that the release of the SP is scheduled to coincide with the Ver 3.0 patch in May some time. We all look forward to it with great ant...

Very interesting sub-mod. I have one slight comment about the French-Canadian Fusiliers in the grey uniforms. They should have bearskin caps similar in size and shape to those of the vanilla Austrian/Hungarian grenadiers, rather than shakos.

I recall in the DarthMod for Empire that General units had all their offensive abilities removed, and were thus rendered useless for attacking anything in a cavalry role. It can be done, if desired.

Greetings Gentlemen and Ladies, I am a long time admirer of the Lordz work, and have recently joined the forum. I cant agree that V3 is slow and boring, here is a replay from a battle we fought against the grogs and it was a humdinger. Tactical manouevering to gain the advantage followed by a good overwhelming attack, then a timely counter attack that almost saved the day then the flanking attack coming in t...
