Re: 2000

Blood, are you still here!? Very cool. Yeah I've decided to check back in here a bit more often now. Just to see how things are developing. :) Well just wondering in the shadows, just to see how things are doing. I retired from this community and clan, can't find the time to do anything, especially...

Re: What is your Tag and Why? - Continued

Well a long time ago, before the Lordz, I could not come up with a good name. When I watch 'Brave Heart' for the first time, I was awed by the blood and gore that was shown in the movie. Thus I named my self BloodNGore before I was a Lord. When I became a Lord, I kept it like it was for a while, but...

Re: Napoleonic III: Total War make do?

Nope, you are still under NTW1, as you have been since this list was compiled two years ago. It's just for primary contributors Sorry but whoever compiled this list is wrong! I contributed my time to the making of NTW2, I wasn't a modder unlike NTW1, but I wrote the majority of the unit description...

Hey WideBlade, hows it going? Well to answer your question it depends on your taste. Some like the new ETW, but others still stick to NTW2.

Re: Today is the 194th Waterloo Anniversry

Napoleons fall was a domino effect. It started with the invasion and occupation of Spain, then his invasion of Russia. From their on, his empire started to decline. He fought the same enemies for to long, they licked their wounds, learned their lesson, and found out how to fight him, by sticking tog...

Re: Today is the 194th Waterloo Anniversry

Happy defeat of the Imperial Guard day ! Well kinda, the Old Guard was not the same Old Guard which went into Russia. When Napoleon came out of exile, he needed to build his army up again, and fast. Most of the Guard units were line infantry men that where promoted to guard status due to the really...

Re: The world map of the NTW community

Dab, the KO is the merge of the light division and the RFG, the two oldest clans. Yep :) The GG is an old clan, but not the oldest :) . But still, the GG is not active in the NTW community from what I see. And the GG forum is dead, there is no leadership to lead the GG. Why don't you guys start a n...

Re: Archers (with or without Lemonade!)

So in short, Bow and arrow werent used because the cost and time required to train an archer far outweighs the cost of tossing a musket into the hands of a peasant and teach him to march to the drums. Right, just look what happened to the samurai when the musket became the main weapon, and while th...

Re: Armored footsoldiers

One thing, the breast plate was made to deflect saber/sword blows. They could not deflect bullets and cannon balls, hence why it was later discarded by armored horsemen, and knights in armor became extinct in the battlefield. Plus it would of been really expensive to provide foot soldiers armor, esp...
